You are buying the right to use the beat for profitable, commercial use on any one single format (e.g. albums, mix-tapes, iTunes singles) with a distribution of 2000 – unlimited units, the beat may be used for radio broadcast on up to 3 stations and live shows or concerts totaling up to $1000 (USD). You may alter the beat as you see fit, but you may not under any circumstances resell the beat. Note that several individuals may buy a Lease License to the same beat.

What is included with a Lease License?

A standard Lease License purchase will come with a single mixed down high-quality mp3 file of the beat. Lease Licenses come with the option of individually selecting how many units you wish to sell with your license.

What is a Sync License?

Sync Licenses, or synchronization rights, are non-exclusive usage rights to a beat for advertisers, companies and media professionals, where the ownership of the beat remains with us. You are buying the right to use the beat for profitable, commercial use on any one single broadcast or medium. This includes soundtracks for movies, television, video games, YouTube channels and websites. You may alter the beat as you see fit, but you may not under any circumstances resell the beat. Note that several individuals may buy Sync Licenses to the same beat.

What is included with a Sync License?

A standard Sync License purchase will come with a single mixed down high-quality WAV file of the beat. Sync Licenses come with the option of individually selecting how many uses you require. By default, 1 use is selected as this is our most popular options, however you may want to increase this to 2 uses or unlimited units (maximum) depending on your intentions. If this is the case my can contact us at [email protected] and discuss a custom Sync License which we both agree upon.

You will also receive a download link for all the separate instrumental track lines of the beat in highest quality WAV format, in a zip folder. This is ideal for professional studio mixing and mastering or for making your own beat changes. In order to extract files from a zip folder, simply double-click on the zip folder to open it once downloaded, then drag everything inside out onto your desktop. If you can’t open the file you may need to download a free version of WinZip. You can upgrade a Sync License for more uses at a later date, but only if the Exclusive License to the beat has not been sold in the mean time. You can check this by seeing whether a beat is marked as “Unavailable” when you click on the Buy License tab in the beat window.

What is an Exclusive License?

Exclusive Licenses, or full ownership rights, are exclusive usage rights to a beat for any purpose. This includes albums, mix-tapes, iTunes singles, YouTube uploads and soundtracks for movies, television, video games or websites. Full performance broadcasting and reproduction rights are included and there is no unit or sales cap. The rights to the beat are fully transferred to you and the beat will be marked as Unavailable so that no one else may download or license it. You become the sole owner of the beat. You may alter the beat as you see fit, but you may not under any circumstances resell the beat.

What is included with an Exclusive License?

As well as a mixed down WAV file of the beat, automatically included with Exclusive Licenses are Trackouts, where you will receive a download link for all the separate instrumental track lines of the beat in highest quality WAV format, in a zip folder. This is ideal for professional studio mixing and mastering and the best sound quality broadcasts. In order to extract files from a zip folder, simply double-click on the zip folder to open it once downloaded, then drag everything inside out onto your desktop. If you can’t open the file you may need to download a free version of WinZip.

After buying a license, how long do my rights to that beat last for?

Indefinitely. If you have bought Lease, Sync or Exclusive Licenses there is no time limit and your respective rights to the beat will remain for a life-time. If you have purchased a Lease or a Sync and another customer purchases an Exclusive License to a beat, your rights will remain intact up to the unit/use count you purchased. You can also still buy Track-outs for a beat after the Exclusive License is sold. However, additional Lease or Sync units/uses cannot be bought.

What happens if I buy a Lease or Sync License and someone later buys an Exclusive License to the beat?

Nothing. Your license will still be effective up to the unit or use limitations of your contract.

Can I reserve a beat/place it on hold if I can’t pay the full amount now?

If you are looking to buy an Exclusive License to a beat but cannot pay the full amount up-front, we will do our best to work with your budget and place beats on hold for a specified time period against a down-payment (usually at least 25%). Please note that we can only reserve beats for Exclusive License purchases, not for Lease or Sync purchases.

Do you offer any deals or bulk purchase discounts?

Yes we regularly have discounts on the website, to check for the latest deals or contact us to discuss a bulk deal at[email protected] .

Can I trade or pay you in alternative means rather than buying a license?

Unfortunately we do not accept any alternative payment methods for buying beats.

Why are some beats marked as “Unavailable” on the website?

If a beat is marked as Unavailable it either means that the Exclusive License is sold, or that we are not currently selling licenses for that beat. This could, for example, be due to someone having already made a down-payment to buy a beat. If you are not able to buy a particular beat you want, you may be interested in a custom beat.
